Meijer: Shah Family True Goodness Challenge!

I shop at Meijer every week and recently really started looking into their True Goodness line of product's and wanted to see if my husband and kids could actually taste the difference! So I put them to the challenge! I bought a few True Goodness item's, that my family eat or drink on a regular basis!

Please note: I did take picture's of my family carrying out the challenge but I am not including them in the post, as my daughter had an accident at school and her face is swollen in them. I am respecting her decision for them not to be posted, she is a lot better now! :)

I drink coffee daily and my husband, Akash, is hit and miss! As I was making the coffee, I knew which was which, but I will tell you that I was pleasantly positively surprised by the Meijer organic house blend. I think it is something we will be adding to our coffee approved list!

My husbands verdict - He choose Meijer coffee over Gevalia! He said Gevalia was "watery" and not very strong. He said the Meijer coffee was pretty balanced, wasn't too strong and over powering/bitter in taste.

My son, Keval (5) will eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all day, everyday if given the chance! Both my kids take sandwiches at least 3 times a week to school, so we go through at least a loaf of bread a week.

Keval's feedback on the TG bread - soft bread, the "bits" on the crust are too big, "I like this bread".

Sonali's feedback on the TG bread - super soft, thicker slices, tastes pretty good.

I asked if I should keep buying this kind of bread-both said yes! Winner!

I am a Heinz snob! This is the only brand we would buy in England when I was growing up. After moving to America-nothing has changed for me!
My daughter, Sonali, used to love ketchup on pretty much everything (she has thankfully overcome that!).

Keval's feedback - "Taste's ok, but I like the other one better" Told me not to buy it again!

Sonali's feedback - "Wow, not bad. I didn't think i would like it, because we always eat Heinz, but yes I think I would eat this."

I actually don't mind True Goodness ketchup! WOW never saw that one coming!

As mentioned above, Keval would eat peanut butter everyday! I did not put the peanut butter on bread, instead I used a cracker for them to try them with. I think we all know the Peter Pan Simply Ground peanut butter deal from a few week's ago! :D

Keval's feedback - soft (?), tasty, taste's just like peanut's.

Sonali's feedback - easy to spread, taste's like fresh peanut's, not oily (not that the other 2 where oily at all), pretty yummy!

Akash's feedback - creamy goodness! (So I guess that is a hit!)

The True Goodness salsa, was the only product that wasn't organic. I bought this for $1 and wanted to see how it compared to Pace. I am realizing that I compared it to the picante sauce which is great for cooking (we use it for mexican lasagna).
We only eat Jack's fresh salsa and the family where not a fan of the True Goodness salsa, as it had lumpy tomatoes and tasted vinegary, but I am going to use it the next time I make my mexican lasagna. So many member's of the "Coupon Saving at Meijer" group told me the black bean and corn salsa is amazing - my store was out of that particular kind, so I got the original salsa.

All opinion's are solely the Shah family's. This is a sponsored post.
